Marvel fans are in for a treat if they dig animation, as the studio has a few very big projects in the format brewing in development for us. Perhaps the most notable, though, are Season 2 of What If…? and Spider-Man: Freshman Year.
While Tom Holland unfortunately won’t be returning for the Disney Plus series, it’ll still feature a number of familiar Spidey characters – especially when it comes to the villains. And as The Direct reminds us, 10 of them have already been confirmed thanks to that SDCC panel the other week, with the following antagonists all set to appear: Unicorn, Scorpion, Tarantula, Butane, Otto Octavius, Carmela Black, the Rhino, Speed Demon, Norman Osborn and Chameleon.
Unfortunately, we don’t know a whole lot about how they’ll factor into Spider-Man: Freshman Year, but with the show looking to premiere in 2024, we should start learning more in the not too distant future.
