Marvel Studios is working on a new series for Disney+ about Vision, a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series, which is tentatively called Vision Quest, is a spin-off of WandaVision, and Paul Bettany will return as Vision.
A notable aspect of Vision Quest is the return of Faran Tahir as Raza, the leader of the Ten Rings terrorist group. Tahir first played Raza in the 2008 Iron Man film, where he significantly influenced Iron Man’s origin. This marks Tahir’s comeback to the MCU after his earlier role. His return hints that the series will explore the Ten Rings organization again, previously seen in Iron Man and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The storyline will focus on Vision’s quest to recover his memories and regain his humanity after being brought back to life in WandaVision. The series is set to premiere in 2026. James Spader will also reprise his role as Ultron, the AI villain from Avengers: Age of Ultron, though details about how he will be involved and whether he will appear as human or robotic are still unclear. Todd Stashwick will join the cast in an undisclosed role, adding more mystery to the series. Terry Matalas, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard, is the showrunner for Vision Quest.

The series will take inspiration from the comic storyline Vision Quest, focusing on Vision’s struggle to reclaim his identity and confront his past. Raza’s return, an earlier villain in the MCU, adds an intriguing element to the story. Fans speculate that he might be connected to Stark’s role in Vision’s creation or may only feature in flashbacks or visions.
The timing of the series is significant within the larger MCU timeline. Following the events of WandaVision, Vision Quest will further explore Vision’s character development. The show aims to add depth to the post-Endgame MCU story and connect to other projects, such as Agatha All Along. It is expected to mix action, mystery, and character growth, making it a fresh addition to the expanding MCU.
