If Kevin Smith has his way, She-Ra will be appearing in Season 2 of Masters of the Universe: Revelation.
The second part of the first run of the animated series only hit Netflix a few days ago, but Smith is already talking up ideas for what’s to come. And while he’s keen to include She-Ra, it seems rights issues may interfere.
“The only thing that I’ve been told over and over again is the properties are owned by two different companies,” he said. “Masters of the Universe is owned by Mattel. The She-Ra figures are owned by Mattel but (animated) She-Ra is owned by DreamWorks. [But] everyone from Mattel to Netflix would love for it to happen.”
It’s nice to hear that everyone is in the same boat here, wanting She-Ra to appear in Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2, but we’ll just have to wait and see if the lawyers can sort out the rights issues.
