Though Chris Hemsworth may be best known as the MCU’s Thor, he’s also tried his hand at a whole bunch of other projects outside of Marvel and while a lot of them have unfortunately fallen flat, he did put in a pretty solid performance in 12 Strong.
The film, headed to HBO Max on December 1st, follows a “the first Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan after 9/11 who work with an Afghan warlord to take down the Taliban.” As far as war movies go, it doesn’t exactly break the mold, but it’s got a great cast and a number of intense, gripping action sequences, making it well worth a watch – whether you’re a Chris Hemsworth fan or not.
