Black Widow Timeline Error Goes Viral After MCU Fan Spots It

A rather hilarious Black Widow timeline error has gone viral this week after a dedicated MCU fan pointed it out.

Black Widow Thumb

Black Widow, like most films, had a couple of continuity/timeline errors which fans have been pointing out since its release and a new one spotted by a viewer over on Reddit has been going viral this week.

See below for what they discovered when watching the movie with their daughter:

“When young Natasha and family arrive in Cuba and are taken away, Red Guardian is seen holding a doll that Yelena brought with her. That doll was a Twilight Sparkle doll from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic which ran from 2010-2020. Thus that doll should not exist in the 90s. Hell it shouldn’t even exist during the first Iron Man movie.

I would like to credit my 7 year old daughter who’s watched My Little Pony more times than I can count and has so many of the toys for me ever even noticing this.”

It’s funny to think that no one noticed this till now, and that Marvel didn’t pick up on it, either. It’s obviously not going to ruin Black Widow or cause folks to rally against it, but it just goes to show that even the eagle-eyed producers at the House of Ideas don’t catch everything.
