Benedict Cumberbatch refused to shower while on the set of his new Netflix movie, The Power of the Dog.
Why, you ask? Well, it all came down to the actor’s commitment to staying in character, and it certainly paid off, as he delivers one of his best performances yet in the film, which is currently the #1 movie on the platform.
Speaking about not showering, Cumberbatch said:
“[Jane Campion would] invite me out for sushi or a walk, and I was literally emanating. I had a biohazard zone around me. It was not a good time to cuddle up to Cumberbatch and take a selfie.”
Crazy? Maybe. But again, The Power of the Dog is a huge hit so far and might even earn the actor an Oscar statue.
