The cast of Succession is one of the best ensembles on television right now, with everyone perfectly suited to their roles. But if star Jeremy Strong got his way, things might’ve been different.
The actor, who plays Kendall Roy, has revealed that he originally wanted to portray Roman when he first met with the producers.
“I thought, Oh, wow, Roman is such a cool part,” he said. “He’s, like, this bon-vivant prick. I could do something that I hadn’t done before.”
As fans will know, Roman is played by Kieran Culkin, who’s absolutely terrific. Likewise, Strong is fantastic as Kendall, so it seems that all worked out in the end for Succession.
