The folks at Apple TV+ must be feeling awfully generous this week.
It was just yesterday that they renewed Truth Be Told for another run and today, they’ve given Invasion a second season. Admittedly, the sci-fi thriller series is hardly the streamer’s most impressive piece of work and suffered from mixed reviews, but it seems the viewing figures were strong enough to warrant more.
“I’m profoundly grateful to Apple for being so supportive every step of the way, and trusting us to make a deeply human, emotional alien-invasion story. And most of all I’m thankful to our amazing fans, without whom we wouldn’t have this opportunity to continue the invasion. I’m super excited about what we’re planning for season two, expanding our universe in the most intimate and epic ways” said EP Simon Kinberg.
Look for the Invasion Season 1 finale to drop on Apple TV+ this Friday.
