Video game adaptations are notoriously tricky to get right, but the upcoming Halo TV show is hoping to change that, and it just might. We’ll have a better idea about that later tonight when the new trailer drops, but in the meantime, star Pablo Schreiber has spoke to Entertainment Weekly to tease what to expect.
Among other things, he said that the series will expand the franchise’s universe, explaining:
“It takes place very much in the universe that the video games created, but it’s a TV show. We get to expand that universe and create stories in it. There’s going to be some new characters that are introduced, there’s going to be a lot of familiar characters that everyone will know from the game.”
Look for Halo to premiere at some point in early to mid-2022.
