Today’s Hawkeye brought with it a ton of surprises – including the return of Kingpin and the reveal of another Marvel hero who we lost in the Blip. But it also had a quick Spider-Man: No Way Home reference.
Early on, when Yelena is talking to Kate, she mentions that she’s happy she finally gets to visit NYC and wants to check out “the new and improved Statue of Liberty.” Obviously, this is a reference to the makeover we see on the landmark in the No Way Home trailers, with the statue now holding Captain America’s shield.
Of course, Yelena doesn’t get the chance to do any sightseeing this week on Hawkeye as she’s caught up with more important matters, but it was a fun little reference regardless and the timing was perfect, what with Spider-Man: No Way Home out on Friday.
