Video game adaptations are notoriously tricky to get right, but Halo is hoping to change that.
Indeed, hopes are high for the Paramount+ series headed to our screens in 2022, but don’t expect it to follow the continuity of the games that it’s based on. At least, that’s according to developer 343 Industries, who said:
“We’re referring to this as the Halo Silver Timeline as a way of differentiating it from core canon. And both protecting core canon and protecting the television story, and by that, I mean being able to give ourselves the chance to evolve both and for both to be what they need to be for their mediums without colliding with each other.”
Admittedly, that still doesn’t clear up what, exactly, we’ll see in regards to the story of Halo, but we’ll find out soon enough as it’ll be with us in early 2022.
