Back in 2007, Spider-Man 3 was one of the most expensive films to date, with a budget of between $258-$350 million. And even now, it remains as the 15th most expensive movie ever, according to Wikipedia.
Unfortunately, however, that doesn’t mean it was a huge success. In fact, the trilogy capper is often seen as one of the worst outings for the web-slinger and an uneven comic book flick, one that just had too much going on and crumbled under the weight of all its characters and side plots.
But Netflix users clearly have some interest in it, and that’s not too surprising given that star Tobey Maguire just recently returned to the role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Indeed, as of this writing, Spider-Man 3 is currently the 50th most-watched movie on the platform worldwide, having jumped up a whopping 21 spots since yesterday.
And with No Way Home continuing to dominate theaters, it might move even higher up the Netflix charts in the days to come.
