Cobra Kai is coming back to Netflix and it’s sounding like it’ll be better than ever.
Season 4 drops on the 31st and the first reviews have now begun to roll in, and they’re extremely promising. Critics are praising the new run ahead of its release and below, you can see what they’re saying.
Paste Magazine is claiming:
What a relief that Cobra Kai isn’t going to treat The Karate Kid III as if it were an Academy Award-winning film. As always, Cobra Kai remains in on the joke.
Empire Magazine, meanwhile, writes:
There’s nothing quite as bonkers as Season 2’s high-school rumble, but this fourth year is a glossier affair, capped with a show-stopping finale that somehow manages to raise the stakes yet again.
Elsewhere, CNN states:
Frankly, topnotch revivals are so rare that it seemed inevitable Cobra Kai would experience a misstep, or simply run out of gas. Happily, that’s definitely not the case with season four.
Continuing with the glowing praise, IGN says:
This new season of Cobra Kai most certainly has Netflix DNA for better and for worse. Still, the heart and soul of what makes the series what it is, is still present.
Polygon is also pleased with the new run, writing:
After the salvage effort — successful nonetheless — of season 3, I was skeptical that Cobra Kai’s story-spinners really had a universe and characters that could extend beyond a trilogy. Season 4 proved me flat wrong.
And finally, AwardsWatch claims:
While Cobra Kai season 4 certainly still leans into the humor and nostalgia it’s known for, which makes the show a joy, this season’s writing is the best it’s ever been.
Cobra Kai Season 4 hits Netflix on December 31st. Don’t miss it.
