Hawkeye Director Reveals Cool Kate Bishop Easter Egg That We All Missed

Hawkeye director Rhys Thomas has revealed a cool Kate Bishop Easter Egg that most of you probably missed in the show.

Hawkeye Thumb

Hawkeye was packed full of Easter Eggs, some obvious and some more well hidden. But there’s one that you almost surely missed.

In a chat with Metro, director Rhys Thomas shared that Episodes 2 and 3 have a small little detail that nods to Kate Bishop’s comic book debut, explaining:

‘I don’t even know if you can see it because of the way the scene’s edited. This is a super deep cut, but I’m going to say it because it amused me. There’s a sort of display and the light is flickering. Our board operator, he’s worked on other Marvel projects, I think including Guardians of the Galaxy, he’s a huge Marvel fan. In the flickering lights he frequently programmes Morse code, and so that light is actually flickering the date of the first Kate Bishop issue of Hawkeye.’

Well, we definitely missed that one, but now that we know about it, you can bet we’ll be going back to those episodes of Hawkeye to check it out.
