You may’ve seen online that Don’t Look Up has an editing error in it where the crew can be spotted in the background of a shot. But it turns out that it’s not exactly an error as director Adam McKay left it in there on purpose.
“Good eye! We left that blip of the crew in on purpose to commemorate the strange filming experience,” he said on Twitter.
According to MovieWeb, the scene in question is when Timothee Chalamet’s character’s friends can be seen “skateboarding in a parking lot, when it becomes clear that the small group are not simply extras but crew members wearing masks as they were required to during filming at the time.”
Admittedly, we didn’t catch this one ourselves, but it’s nice to know that it wasn’t an oversight and the Don’t Look Up team left it in there on purpose to add another interesting wrinkle to the movie.
