Though we’re still a ways away from seeing it, news on HBO Max’s Batgirl movie is heating up. We already know that Michael Keaton is set to return as Batman, but there’ve been a few more interesting developments in the past week or so.
First we learned that he’ll team up with Black Canary and now, insider Grace Randolph claims that he’ll choose the titular heroine herself to be the new Batman. You can see what she had to say below:

Of course, we’d recommend taking this with a grain of salt – as we always do with news from insiders/leakers. But there’ve been a few other people speaking out in support of this, so it could very well be on the money.
Either way, it sure sounds like Batgirl is going to be an important film for the franchise as a whole and may help pave the way for what’s to come.
