A Laughably Bad Chris Hemsworth Movie Is Exploding On Netflix

A laughably bad Chris Hemsworth movie is exploding in popularity over on Netflix today and may even crack the Top 20!

Unfortunately, Chris Hemsworth has struggled with his leading man status outside of the MCU. Aside from Extraction, the actor hasn’t seen too many of his non-Marvel movies find much success. And one of his worst efforts in recent years was Blackhat.

Though it was directed by the legendary Michael Mann and featured Hemsworth in the starring role, the 2015 thriller was a total dud. Critics labelled it as “downright awful,” “joyless” and “dull.” Plot-wise, it sees a “furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta.” And while that sounds like an exciting premise, it just failed to take off upon release.

But Blackhat is now seeing a resurgence over on Netflix. After jumping up an impressive 60 spots since yesterday, it currently sits as the 21st most-watched film worldwide on the platform. Though whether users are enjoying it or not is another story.
