Did Tony Stark spoil that reveal in the Hawkeye finale years ago? He very well might’ve.
If you recall, the last episode of the Disney Plus series told us that Clint Barton’s wife, Laura, was once a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. And as Marvel fans will know, Mr. Stark actually called that back in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
When meeting his teammate’s wife for the first time, he says: “She is an agent of some kind.” See for yourself below:

Of course, it’s unlikely that this was a deliberate move on the part of Age of Ultron‘s writers and we imagine it’s just a case of the team behind Hawkeye picking up on it and deciding to pay off the tease. But either way, it’s interesting to look back and see how Stark technically spoiled the big reveal all those years ago.
