Netflix is set to remake one of the best Indonesian films of all-time, and also one of the greatest action movies ever.
We’re talking about The Raid, which premiered in 2012 and followed an “elite Indonesian S.W.A.T. team that becomes trapped in a tenement run by a ruthless mobster and his army of killers and thugs.” On board for this new take is original director Gareth Evans, who’ll produce this time alongside Michael Bay. Patrick Hughes, meanwhile, will direct and write the script with James Beaufort.
No word yet on who may star, but this is definitely a hot package and we’re looking forward to Netflix sharing more in the near future.
