Before he became one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, Ryan Reynolds made a number of box office and critical bombs, and one of them is now somehow finding success over on Netflix.
The movie in question is R.I.P.D. A total disaster on almost every level, it co-stars Jeff Bridges and follows a “recently slain cop who joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.” Though it had potential what with its setup and cast, in the end it was nothing but a formulaic, dim and lazy blockbuster.
But Netflix subscribers clearly feel differently, as it’s currently the 47th most-watched film on the platform worldwide. Once again showing us that Ryan Reynolds is always a hit on streaming.
