Where is Ozark filmed?
That’s a question that many may be wondering right now given that it’s currently the #1 show on Netflix. And while it may seem like the obvious answer is that it’s shot in the Ozarks, that’s actually not correct.

Instead, the series is filmed mostly in Atlanta. And more specifically, around Lake Allatoona and Lake Lanier. The reason for this is the same reason many productions set up shop in the the city, and that’s because of tax incentives, with Georgia basically a second Hollywood now.
Despite not being filmed in the location it’s named after, though, Ozark still captures the setting perfectly. So well, in fact, that most people assume it’s actually shot in the Ozarks.
