Marvel movies are usually pretty consistent in terms of quality, but there are a handful that were produced by studios other than Marvel Studios that have definitely come up short. And perhaps one of the worst films to bear the Marvel name is Dark Phoenix.
Ending the Fox X-Men era with a whimper rather than a bang, the project suffered from a messy production that resulted in a disjointed, scrappy and dull movie. One that didn’t really leave fans with much to get excited about.
But over on Disney Plus, Dark Phoenix is now soaring, having jumped up a massive 35 spots to land at 13th on the most-watched films worldwide list. Though even a few years on from its initial release, the general consensus on it is unlikely to change.
