The Book of Boba Fett brought Baby Yoda back to our screens today as we got to see him training with the legendary Luke Skywalker. Though this was another episode that pushed the titular character off to the sidelines, it was still a hugely exciting one as it shed a bit more light on Grogu’s past.
In fact, it even revealed his key connection to the Prequel Trilogy, with ComicBook.com explaining:
It turns out the lovable little alien was one of the Younglings in the Jedi Temple when it fell during Order 66. This makes a ton of sense as Luke Skywalker came to scoop him up at the end of the last season of The Mandalorian. Boba Fett has been downright masterful at filling in the gaps between the other Star Wars content. Episode 6 makes a point to put a bunch of older pieces on the board for a big confrontation in the season finale.
Of course, there’s still a lot we don’t know about Baby Yoda’s backstory and we probably won’t get to see too much more of it in The Book of Boba Fett, but The Mandalorian Season 3 will no doubt fill in the remaining gaps.
