Before he became the mega star he is today, Dwayne Johnson featured in a number of lower budget actioners that you may’ve missed. And one of these films was Faster.
The hard-hitting thriller sees the Rock playing an ex-con who “gets on a series of apparently unrelated killings while being tracked by a veteran cop with secrets of his own and an egocentric hit man.” It’s a solid ride that scored decent reviews from critics but is often overlooked these days given the AAA productions that Johnson attaches himself to on a constant basis.
Over on Netflix, though, it’s now sitting as the 13th most-watched movie after jumping up 34 spots on the most-watched list. And given how many people probably missed it back when it released in 2010, it’s probably coming as a nice surprise to many who’ve now discovered it on the platform.
