Cad Bane returned in The Book of Boba Fett today and while he seemingly met his maker towards the end of the episode, a small detail may’ve actually indicated that he’s still alive.
The folks over at The Direct have pointed out that when Boba stabbed Bane in their face-off, a small red light on the villain’s chest started to blink. Following that, Bane remained alive for a bit before dying and even after he had seemingly took his last breath, the light continued blinking, as you can see below.

Of course, it’s unclear what this could mean and all we can do is speculate right now, but it’d be foolish for Lucasfilm to bring a character like Cad Bane to live-action only to kill him off after a couple of scenes. As such, the current thinking is that this blinking light is the key to his return and it must’ve meant something when it continued flashing even after his death in The Book of Boba Fett.
