Before Paul Rudd became the MCU’s Ant-Man, he found his footing in a number of well received comedies, including This Is 40.
The Judd Apatow production sees Rudd co-star with Leslie Mann, with the actors playing Pete and Debbie, who “are both about to turn 40, their kids hate each other, both of their businesses are failing, they’re on the verge of losing their house, and their relationship is threatening to fall apart.”
Billed as a “sort-of sequel” to Knocked Up, it’s not quite as good as that film, but it’s certainly a strong comedic effort and over on Netflix, subscribers seem to be eating it up. Currently, it’s sitting at #25 on the most-watched movies worldwide chart, and having jumped 6 spots since yesterday from when it was at #31, it looks like this Paul Rudd gem is about to make a run for the Top 20.
