Over on Disney Plus today, a chilling zombie movie is scaring subscribers and also creeping up the most-watched films worldwide chart.
The pic in question happens to be one of the genre’s very best, too, as it’s 28 Days Later. Danny Boyle’s terrifying 2002 effort still represents the pinnacle of quality when it comes to zombie movies and focuses on a “team of survivors trying to cope with the aftermath of the disaster and find security after a mysterious virus wreaks havoc in the United Kingdom.”
While it’s not available in all regions on Disney Plus, it’s still roping in enough viewers right now to land at #16 on the most-watched movies chart. And with any luck, this resurgence in popularity may finally be what it takes to get another film in the series off the ground, after a threequel has been rumored for years now.
