Over on Disney Plus, a disturbing horror movie is making waves. And while it’s not available in all territories, if you do have access to it, we strongly suggest flipping it on if you’re in the mood for a scare.
The movie in question is Antlers, which now sits as the 7th most-watched film on the platform worldwide. Which is a pretty strong showing for a mature horror flick without any A-list talent attached. Aside from Guillermo del Toro, of course, who produced it.
Starring Jesse Plemons and Keri Russell, Antlers follows a “middle-school teacher and her sheriff brother who become embroiled with her enigmatic student, whose dark secrets lead to terrifying encounters with an ancestral creature.” It’s creepy, unsettling and very dark, but it’s also an atmospheric creature feature that earned a fair amount of praise from critics. And now, it’s finding a whole new audience over on Disney Plus.
