As the home to almost all of the MCU movies, it’s always interesting to take a look at what’s most popular on Disney Plus when it comes to Marvel’s output. And today, one of the franchise’s more divisive efforts is skyrocketing up the charts.
Captain Marvel is currently the 40th most-watched film on the platform worldwide, jumping up an impressive 12 places from yesterday and making moves towards the Top 25. Of course, there are still a whole handful of MCU movies ahead of it, but it’s still surprising to see this one performing so well.
Not only is Captain Marvel already a few years old, but as we mentioned above, it was pretty divisive upon its release. Critics were mixed about it and if you followed the online discussions surrounding the pic back when it hit theaters, you’ll be well aware of all the review bombing it endured from bitter fans.
But for some reason, Captain Marvel is now finding a new life on Disney Plus and it’ll be fascinating to watch how high it ultimately soars on there.
