Turns out Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a major hit over on Disney Plus.
The animated children’s movie based on Jeff Kinney’s 2007 book of the same name is both a reboot and the fifth installment in the film series and is also totally dominating on the aforementioned streaming service.
As FlixPatrol reports, it’s beating out heavy hitters like Shang-Chi and Jungle Cruise and has gone straight to #1 in the US. Meaning it’s not only performing better than those two titles, but it’s also bringing in more views than any MCU movie on the streaming site right now.
Suffice it to say, Disney Plus has a big, big hit on their hands with this one.
