Disney Plus is getting ready to make history on January 12th, as Wednesday will see the release of both Eternals and The Book of Boba Fett Episode 3 on the platform. And this will be the first time that the streamer has dropped a new live-action Marvel title on the same day of the debut of a major new live-action Star Wars title.
As The Direct points out, we have seen the two franchises launch projects simultaneously before, like on Disney Plus Day when we got Shang-Chi and Under The Helmet: The Legacy Of Boba Fett, or when July 9th brought us both Black Widow and The Bad Batch Episode 11. But as they rightly explain, “there hasn’t been a day since Disney Plus’ launch on November 12th, 2019 that both Marvel Studios and Star Wars debuted a major live-action production on the service.”
So, strap in and get ready for a historic day this Wednesday, when Disney Plus will bring subscribers two titles that you won’t want to miss.
