Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness certainly wasn’t the best MCU movie we’ve ever seen, but it was a fun trip through the franchise’s various dimensions and brought us a few really neat surprises. As such, it’s not too much of a shock to see it performing so well on Disney Plus.
According to Samba TV, in fact, it roped in 2.1 million households during its first 5 days of streaming, setting a new Marvel Cinematic Universe record for most views in those initial 5 days on the platform. Previously, Eternals was the record holder with 2 million, but it’s now been beaten.
When looking just beyond Disney Plus, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ numbers still pale in comparison to, say, Red Notice‘s 4.2 million or Godzilla vs. Kong‘s 3.6 million, but it’s an impressive feat nonetheless.
