A lot of people were disappointed with the post-credits scene in the Hawkeye finale, and understandably so. But it turns out they had another one planned and ended up cutting it.
According to The Cosmic Circus, here’s what it involved:
Clint [sends] Kingpin the Ronin sword along with a warning to stay away from Kate and his family.

No doubt that would’ve been a lot better than what we got, so it seems odd that they would have removed it. But either way, all the signs point to Kingpin returning even despite being seemingly killed in the last episode of Hawkeye and when he does, you can bet he’ll have revenge on his mind.
