Hawkeye Writer Begged Marvel To Include Yelena In The Show

Hawkeye writer Jonathan Igla says he begged Marvel to include Yelena Belova in the Disney Plus series, and it worked.

Hawkeye is set to feature an appearance from none other than Yelena Belova, and it seems we have writer Jonathan Igla to thank for that.

It turns out him and his team begged the studio to include her, with Igla saying the following in a recent interview:

“[Black Widow’s post-credits scene] came from Marvel, but it came in response to [us] begging for and making a good case for why Yelena had a place in our story.”

“I think what I can safely say about it right now is that there is an obvious connection between Clint’s guilt over the loss of his best friend and the other person in the world who cared the most about her,” Igla added.

When, exactly, we’ll see Yelena pop up, we don’t know, but with only 3 episodes left to go of Hawkeye, we’ll get to catch up with her again soon enough.
