Disney Plus is home to almost all of the MCU movies, but there are a few exceptions and another one of them will soon be Spider-Man: No Way Home. And it doesn’t sound like it’ll be on the platform anytime soon.
We know that Sony and Disney announced a new deal to have a whole bunch of the former’s films on the latter’s streaming service, but unfortunately, this doesn’t include the Spidey threequel, as it only encompasses movies that release between 2022 and 2026.

Given that No Way Home drops this month, it’s not included in that slate and what makes things even more complicated is that Sony also has a deal with Netflix which gives the streamer an 18-month exclusive window on their theatrical titles. And that 18 months only starts once the film has left cinemas.
So in short, any Sony production that’s part of the Sony and Disney deal will have to not only finish its theatrical run, but also go through the 18-month window on Netflix. And only then can it be moved onto Disney Plus. In other words, make sure you catch Spider-Man: No Way Home on the big screen, or you might not be catching it for a while.
