Jeremy Renner is set to return as Clint Barton in the upcoming Hawkeye show, but there was a time when that wasn’t going to be the case. In fact, the actor actually dared Marvel Studios to recast him when he told them he wanted time off to spend with his family.
Speaking to Men’s Health, Renner shared the interesting story, telling the outlet that when he was cautioned that he might be fired for choosing to be with his daughter more and not work as much, he said: “Fine, recast me. I’m going to be here with my daughter.”
Thankfully, that didn’t happen, and you can see Renner returning as the Avenger in just a few days, when Hawkeye hits Disney Plus.
