The Hawkeye finale hit Disney Plus this week and in all the commotion over Kingpin’s return, it seems many MCU fans missed a mistake made by the production team. As seen in the gallery below, there’s an establishing shot in the episode where the MetLife Building can be seen exactly where Avengers Tower usually is.
In real-life NYC, the building is directly “behind the busy Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan,” and as you surely know, Grand Central is a location that we’ve seen quite a bit in the MCU. And when we see it in the franchise’s movies, like in Age of Ultron, we see that the building directly behind it is Avengers Tower, not the MetLife building. But in Hawkeye, that wasn’t the case.

Obviously, this is hardly the type of error that’ll ruin the show for you, but it is interesting to note that apparently it’s been made in other MCU projects in the past. Particularly in some of the Marvel Netflix series.
Whether the studio will go back and fix it in Hawkeye remains to be seen, but for now, it lives on as an interesting goof for fans to spot.
