Ewan McGregor’s much-anticipated return as Obi-Wan is quickly approaching, but it’s not only the beloved hero who’s set to make a comeback, as Hayden Christensen will be showing up as well to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Disney Plus series. And apparently, the two actors got a bit emotional over it all.
Speaking to Empire Magazine, Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy shared the following:
“The thing that was most exciting was being on the set and watching the two of them get excited. They hadn’t seen one another in a long time. I was surprised at just how incredibly emotional it was for each of them to find themselves back in these roles, and just realising how important Star Wars was to each of them. It was the beginning of their careers.”
No doubt it’ll be emotional for the fans, too, to see them back together on screen, and we’ll get to do just that when Obi-Wan debuts in 2022.
