Turns out that Fett wasn’t the only one who survived Jabba the Hutt’s sail barge.
In The Book of Boba Fett‘s premiere episode, we got to see how the bounty hunter escaped from the Sarlaac Pit after falling into it during Return of the Jedi. But the opening hour also showed us that someone else survived the battle in that film: musician Max Rebo.
As ScreenRant points out, Star Wars canon has always been a bit vague when it comes to “who escaped the doomed sail barge,” but we now know that both Fett and Rebo made it out alive, as the latter appears during a brief cameo in the premiere.

Unfortunately, we don’t get to learn how he escaped, but the aforementioned outlet speculates that he probably fled before the vessel exploded, which would make sense. In any case, it’s nice to know that he got out alive and his cameo in The Book of Boba Fett surely put a smile on the faces of many fans.
