Following the Hawkeye finale, the one big question on everyone’s mind was whether or not Kingpin managed to survive.
If you’ve read the comics, you’ll no doubt be aware that a similar moment took place in the source material and Wilson Fisk emerged alive, and in all likelihood, he’s probably going to return in the MCU, too.

But if you ask actor Vincent D’Onofrio, he’s not spilling anything. When questioned on the matter in a recent interview, he said:
“I can comment personally. I can’t comment about any fact because [Marvel Studios] just don’t tell me … So, it made me hope that it would continue, and it still makes me feel that way. I mean, in my mind, she definitely shot him. And, I walked away from Daredevil, at first, I thought, ‘Maybe he’ll come back somehow.’ And then very quickly after that, I thought I was walking away for good … So I had always hoped because of the fans wanting him back and everybody, I’d hope that I would come back. So, I feel the same way now.”
Of course, it’d seem foolish to bring back an iconic villain like Kingpin just to kill him off so quickly in Hawkeye and with Matt Murdock back in the MCU now, too, all the signs are pointing to Mr. Fisk returning in the future so that he can have another rematch with Daredevil.
