Angus Cloud’s Fez has become a fan favorite on Euphoria, and the recent Season 2 premiere really gave him a chance to step into the spotlight. But it turns out the creators of the show had different plans for him at the start.
Speaking to Decider recently, Cloud shared the following:
“Apparently, because they cast me off the street, I guess the character of Fezco was [never meant to stick around]. [I] don’t even know how. I never saw that script. No one ever told me.
It was one day when we were filming the pilot that I think Jacob told me, he was like, ‘Oh yeah, you didn’t know? Your character gets [imitates brains getting blown out]. [But I think showrunner Sam Levinson] liked what I did.
That certainly would’ve been an unfortunate turn of events, as despite the fact that he’s a drug dealer, Fez is actually a pretty likeable character who’s had a very rough life. But thankfully, he’s still around and we can’t wait to see where his arc on Euphoria takes him next.
