Though it wasn’t his best piece of work in the genre, Malignant was still another excellent horror movie from James Wan that boasted a killer twist. It also planted some seeds for a sequel and star Annabelle Wallis has confirmed that she’s talked with the filmmaker about where they could go next.
“There’s plenty of ideas swirling around. We were very, very flattered by the reception and I think taken aback by the reception. So yeah, there’s lots of conversations happening.”
That’s certainly exciting to hear, and with any luck, Warner Bros. will officially announce a Malignant sequel in the not too distant future.
