Peacemaker is getting ready to barge onto HBO Max guns blazing and the first reviews for DC’s new superhero series have now surfaced online.
You can take a look at what the critics are saying down below, but overall, it sounds like this one’s a winner. Though it’s definitely not for children, as many have pointed out that it’s raunchy and crude and very, very violent. But if you’re alright with that type of content, it seems like you’re in for a treat.

#Peacemaker is a great follow-up/companion to The Suicide Squad. It’s violent, raunchy and pretty funny. John Cena is awesome in this irreverent, wacky series that doesn’t hold back on the DCEU and the superhero genre. Whole team/cast is great. Plus, Eagly FTW. @DCpeacemaker pic.twitter.com/Y6uiKZyto5

We've seen the first seven episodes of @jamesgunn's #Peacemaker and can tell you, that it is a crude, irreverent, and profoundly thoughtful meditation on what it means to be a third tier superhero. This is the best thing from DC since…ever.

With HBO Max’s ‘Peacemaker,’ writer-director James Gunn packs a gloriously goofy superhero parody and a sincere character study into one irreverent series. Alan Sepinwall’s reviewhttps://t.co/u3WXYpizr5

#Peacemaker is a funnier, leaner and meaner 'Suicide Squad.' You'll have a total blast. https://t.co/yPdt3STpmf

James Gunn and John Cena re-team for The Suicide Squad's TV spinoff #Peacemaker, a very funny superhero show parody that also works quite well as the genuine article. My review: https://t.co/LQZ0lKY03x pic.twitter.com/oBA1ynlAfT
