There’s a scene in the Season 2 premiere of Euphoria where we see Nate and Cassie hooking up in a washroom when they’re interrupted by Maddy. And while she doesn’t end up catching her best friend in the act thanks to Cassie hiding in the bathtub, it was definitely a close call.
What follows, though, is a tense scene where Cassie does her best not to be discovered and star Sydney Sweeney says she found the whole thing to be “terrifying” to shoot. Mostly thanks to her co-star.
“Alexa [Demie] was on the other side of the door banging the entire time and I was just like, ‘Oh my god, if I was actually in this situation, I would be freaking out,’” Sweeney said. “So Cassie was freaking out.”
Thankfully, Cassie’s secret is safe for now, but we’ll see what happens when Euphoria returns next week with a new episode.
