The Batman will swoop into theaters on March 4th. That much we’ve known for a while. But now we also know when it’ll be on HBO Max.
According to Warner Bros., the hugely anticipated reboot will hit the streaming service 46 days after it reaches cinemas. Which means it’ll be available to stream on April 19th, 2022.
“Think about when movies would show up on HBO, which is eight to nine months after theatrical premiere. The Batman is going to show up on day 46 on HBO Max,” the studio said. “That is a huge change from where things were in 2018, 2017, 2016.”
Obviously, that’s a pretty quick jump to the platform and will no doubt please those who still feel uncomfortable heading into theaters given what’s going on in the world right now. But whether you see it on the big screen or wait till it hits HBO Max, be sure you check out The Batman next year.
