While Batman typically gets more praise between the two, its sequel Batman Returns is still a solid film. With a higher budget and much more creative freedom, Tim Burton was really able to express his vision for The Dark Knight, and though it wasn’t to everyone’s liking, it’s got plenty of fans who remain loyal to it to this day.
