Euphoria star Zendaya has opened up about returning to the role of Rue in Season 2 of the hit series and according to her, it was painful to play the character.
That’s not too hard to believe, either, given how messed up Rue is and the dark places she’s gone to already and below, you can see what she had to say:
“This season, more specifically, she goes to the rock bottom. When we get midway through, that’s when the rock bottom hits, and that’s where it became extremely painful for all of us to watch. And to portray her going through it hurt me.”
We’re only 1 episode into the new season of Euphoria but already it looks like Rue’s in a bad state, and you can bet that it’s not going to be an easy ride for her over the coming weeks.
