Deadline reports that Adrian Lyne’s erotic thriller Deep Water, starring Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, will now be heading straight to streaming after being pulled from the release calendar last week.
Domestically, Hulu will have the rights, while those overseas can check it out on Prime Video. No word on a release date just yet, but given that it would’ve hit theaters on January 14th, we imagine it’ll land soon. In any case, the decision is said to have been made due to the “feeble theatrical marketplace for adult fare right now”
Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas star in Deep Water as Vic and Melinda Van Allen, “a married couple whose mind games with each other take a twisted turn when people around them start turning up dead. The couple staves off divorce in a loveless marriage by allowing each to take lovers, but it becomes messy.” Again, no firm release date as of writing, but we’ll let you know when we have one.
