The 365 Days series on Netflix is known for 1 thing and 1 thing only – its steamy love scenes that don’t hold anything back. And while there are obviously intimacy coordinators on set who assist with those, star Michele Morrone says that he also likes to do his own choreography.
Speaking to Decider, the actor revealed that he enjoys doing those scenes by himself because otherwise it feels “mechanical” and he’d rather it feel real.
“I didn’t really need it because when I build up a character… when I’m working, when I’m acting, not only when I’m talking but even when I’m playing intimate scenes, I like to do it by myself,” he said. “But [still], it’s really important to have intimacy coordinators on set.”
“At the beginning, there was a choreographer, but it didn’t really work because everything was really mechanical. When I do something mechanical, I don’t like my acting. I want to be real in everything I do. So I just did it by myself with the help of my co-star. We actually found a way to be real as much as we could.”
