Chadwick Boseman is obviously best remembered for his role as Black Panther in the MCU, but he did a lot of great work outside of the world’s biggest franchise, too. And while 21 Bridges isn’t his strongest effort, it’s still a solid ride that was unfortunately overlooked.
The pic follows an “embattled NYPD detective is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy.” Produced by the Russo Brothers, critics weren’t too hot on the movie, but it’s far from an unenjoyable couple of hours and Netflix users seem to be eating it up this week.
In fact, at the time of writing, it sits as the 6th most-watched film on the platform in the US, with the Chadwick Boseman effort now making a play for the Top 5.
